HATS OFF TO: Chanel
Hi! I am the owner and maker, well EVERYTHING behind Faire Broderie. I wear many hats both figuratively + literally. Whatever hat I'm wearing: daughter, fiancé, boss lady, traveler, sister, friend - I do so with effortlessly (including the hats I literally wear).
I wanted to let you get to know me better, so here are some fun facts about me!
Biographical facts?
I am 22 years old and I am the middle child in a beautiful fun family of five. I am engaged to my amazing fiancé Anthony and we will be getting married May 4th (sososo excited!) I currently live in Orange County, CA but will be moving to Dallas, TX in January. I have two crazy dogs, Nova and Evee. They are one of the things I look forward to coming home.
What is most rewarding?
Quality time with those I love. Laughter, tears, sympathy, and service brings me my greatest happiness.
What do you find most challenging?
I struggle most with my pleasing others, or should I say, speaking up. I am the least most confrontational person you may meet and I will do anything in my power to make sure those around me are happy and will never have any reason to have resentment towards me or my loved ones. This is difficult when it comes with work, because as a small business owner, it’s almost impossible to not mix personal life and feelings with work. It’s inevitable to have unhappy clients or unfortunate situations arise every now and then - so I’m definitely still learning the balance of keeping my head up high while standing my ground.
What do people know least about you?
I am an introvert, believe it or not. Throw me into a social event or sit me next to a stranger and I won't have any discomfort talking to a new face (thank goodness for my social skills). But nothing beats being at home by myself enjoying my own company.
Who or what inspires you?
Traveling and experiencing different landscapes of all kinds truly take my breath away. My parents unconditional love, especially as a young child, inspired me to be the hardworking I am today and how I hope to teach my own children. Seeing other boss ladies and their successes are always an inspiration to push through whatever rut I may be in. So many things make up for what inspires me in my every day life, it’s truly different each day. I think it’s so important to open your eyes and find something new every single day to be inspired by!
